PROFESSIONAL

MODEL 82LM Two-Function Remote Control

The push buttons on the Two-Function remote controls can activate garage door openers, entry ways and /or light controls. (Instructions for programming light products are included with those accessories).

Code switch remote controls are used when several persons are operating the same device. Code switches must be set to matching positions. In all remote controls used to operate the same receiver.   Use the “smooth” push button, exclusively for code switch application. Follow the instructions described.

Program smooth push button (code switch application)

Your code block with dip switches can be found where you see the antenna wire hanging from the motor head (you may have to take the lens cover off). If antenna wire is not hanging from motor head then you have an external receiver which is a black box approx. 6" x 2" mounted somewhere in the garage with a antenna wire hanging from it (pop off cover to find code block with dip switches).

  1. Slide back the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the remote control housing.
  2. Place the old and new remote controls side by side. Make sure you set code switches 1 through 9 in all remotes to matching positions. Use a pen or screwdriver to move the switches to (+), (-) or (0).
  3. Replace the battery compartment cover.

Program ribbed push button (Green “learn” button)

  1. Press and release the “learn” button on the motor unit. . This can be found where you see the antenna wire hanging from the motor head (you may have to take the lens cover off). If antenna wire is not hanging from motor head then you have an external receiver which is a black box approx. 6" x 2" mounted somewhere in the garage with a antenna wire hanging from it (pop off cover to find Learn Code Button). The learn indicator light will glow steadily for 30 seconds.
  2. Within 30 seconds, press and hold the button on the hand-held remote.
  3. Release the button when the motor light unit light blinks. It has learned the code. If the light bulbs are no installed, two clicks will be heard.
